PRIVATE HEALTH COVER
We strongly encourage clients to check directly with their private health providers around their eligibility for rebates on sessions with their therapist. Mental Healthcare Australia cannot guarantee that sessions will be covered as this is dependent on your selected provider and level of cover. You are welcome to carefully note the type of therapist that you are seeing and to share this information with your private health provider.

Whilst Psychologists, Social Workers & Mental Health Occupational Therapists have a general provider number that can be used with most private health providers, Counsellors have provider numbers that are unique to each private health provider and will differ depending on the private health providers they are registered with.
If you require any further information around your therapist's provider number or the private health providers that they are registered with, please contact our administration team.

NEW CLIENT BOOKINGS
Please be aware that a $75 deposit is required to hold your initial session booking. Your deposit is refundable should you choose to not proceed with your session, as long as the cancellation is received prior to the 24 hour cancellation window.
If you cancel within 24 hours your deposit will be forfeited. If you do not arrive to your initial session booking your deposit will be forfeited and the remainder of the session fee will be deducted from the card we have on file you as per our non-arrival policy. All fees are inclusive of GST.

CANCELLATION POLICY
As session times are in high demand, we require at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, or a cancellation fee of $75.00 will be charged.

If you cancel the day of your session or fail to arrive for a session, inclusive of forgetting it was scheduled, the full session fee will be incurred. Day of cancellations impacts both clients waiting for a session and the therapist who spent the morning preparing the session.

For any appointments on Mondays, notifications of any reschedules are to be received by the latest the Friday prior. Weekends are considered out of hours.

We do offer Virtual sessions as an alternative, should you be too unwell to attend in person.
